My ceramic work has continually evolved after graduating from the University of Louisville with a BFA in ceramics in 2010. All of my work, however, has bold colors and patterns linking it visually to my graphic design work.

In 2016 my ceramic work jurried into the Indiana Artisan program. This collaborative organization brings together Indiana’s talented Artisans’ one-of-a-kind art and food creations.

I'm currently taking a hiatus from creating new ceramic work.

The Studio DiBeneditto brand features a line of functional, artisan pottery designed and handcrafted in my downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana studio. I creates bold, colorful patterns using a modern twist on a traditional carving technique called sgraffito.

Sharing photos of my work on Instagram is an essential part of my marketing efforts. These square images capture still frames of a captivating process and educate viewers about the time and consideration that goes into creating each piece. These social media photos were the inspiration for this 12” x 12” coffee table book that will guide viewers through her creative process.

This book also captures a fleeting moment in my process. The sgraffito technique creates a "beautiful mess". A byproduct of the carving technique is an array of tiny carving pieces scattered across the work surface. These “sgraffito scraps” are a remnant of the process with no real purpose of their own. The natural compositions that form are indicative of the pieces of work that were just created and the types of mark making and colors that adorn those pieces. These scattered pieces become ephemeral works of art to be enjoyed by the maker, captured by a camera’s lens, and then disposed of.
